Deborah Ogburn specializes using the arts to help individuals and organizations create and adapt to change. In addition to her private practice at StudioDO, she is a training therapist for the Expressive Arts Institute, a consulting therapist for Healthy Within Wellness Center for eating disorders, and Expressive Arts Therapist on staff at Alvarado Parkway Institute for Behavioral Health. Deb also facilitates burnout intervention programs for healthcare workers, team-building workshops and wellness coaching using the arts.


Deborah brings over 30 years of personal involvement in dance, music and visual arts to her practice, as well as an extensive background in corporate consulting. Building on her B.S. in Design and 20 years of creative development expertise, Deb completed the Expressive Arts Institute ISIS curriculum in San Diego then advanced her studies at European Graduate School (EGS) in Switzerland, where she graduated cum laude with a Master of Arts in Expressive Arts Therapy, Coaching & Consulting. Ogburn researched and authored Tending the Fire at Work: An Expressive Arts Investigation of Burnout in Mid-Career Professionals.
